Why Top of the Search exists

Most local businesses are missing one of the pieces

Individually, none of these problems look urgent. Together they're why a good local business stays invisible in search.

  • Rely on Facebook for everything, with no home of their own online.

  • Have no website at all, so there is nothing for local searchers to find.

  • Have an old website that hasn't been touched in years.

  • Have a website that looks fine but was never structured around search.

  • Have a Google Business Profile that is completely disconnected from their website.

Top of the Search exists to combine those pieces into one managed local-search system — the website, the Google Business Profile and the ongoing local SEO working as one thing rather than three disconnected jobs.

How we work

Research, build, connect, improve

Research happens before design. What the site needs to do is settled before a single page is styled.

  1. Step 01

    Research

Before anything is designed, we look at what people in your area actually search for, what your competitors rank for, and what a customer needs to see before they get in touch.

  2. Step 02

    Build

The site architecture is decided by that research — pages for the services and areas that matter. The visual design is then tailored to your business, not dropped into a template.

  3. Step 03

    Connect

Your Google Business Profile is aligned with the website so the categories, services, details and links all tell Google the same story.

  4. Step 04

    Improve

After launch we monitor performance, keep the site maintained and keep working on local visibility month to month.

Real work

Same process, very different businesses

An aesthetics clinic and a fencing contractor need the same search foundations and completely different websites. The SEO process is identical; the design is not.

Starting position
Had a Google Business Profile but no website, so there was nowhere for people searching treatments to land.
What we did
A premium local SEO website built around treatment search intent, with booking-focused pages, practitioner trust content and full alignment with the clinic's Google presence.

How we operate

Working principles

  • No fake claims

We don't invent rankings, reviews or results. If we haven't measured it, we don't publish it.

  • Clear pricing

The main package is published openly: £499 setup, then £149 per month. No hidden setup surprises.

  • Client owns their domain

The domain stays registered in your name. We take delegated access to manage it, not ownership of it.

  • Search before design

We decide what the site needs to do before we decide how it looks. Structure first, styling second.

  • Ongoing work

A website isn't finished at launch. It's monitored, maintained and improved while the work continues.

See what's holding your local visibility back

We'll personally review your website, your Google presence and how you appear in local searches, then tell you what we'd fix first.
