What we collect

We only collect information you choose to send us through the two forms on this website.

Free Local Visibility Audit form (/free-audit)

  • Your name
  • Your business name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • Your website address, if you have one
  • Your Google Business Profile link, or that you don't have one
  • Your town or area, and your main service
  • Anything you type into the notes field

Contact form (/contact)

  • Your name
  • Your business name, if you give it
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number, if you give it
  • What you are enquiring about, and your message

Technical submission and security information

  • Which page the form was submitted from, and any campaign tracking values in the link you arrived on
  • The time the form was submitted
  • A one-way hashed version of your IP address, used only to rate-limit repeated submissions and reduce spam
  • Anti-spam checks on the submission itself

We do not store your raw IP address alongside your enquiry, and we do not use tracking that identifies you personally for advertising.

Why we collect it

  • To reply to your enquiry
  • To prepare and send the free local visibility audit you asked for
  • To deliver the services you go on to ask us for
  • To keep the forms working and to prevent spam and abuse

Our basis for using your information is that you asked us to do something for you, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and protecting the website from abuse.

Marketing

We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone. Your details are used to respond to you and to deliver what you asked for.

Service providers we rely on

Running the website and answering enquiries involves a small number of providers who process information on our behalf:

  • Website hosting and delivery, so the site loads for you
  • A managed database service, where audit and contact enquiries are stored
  • An email delivery service, used to send the enquiry notification and to reply to you
  • A spam-protection service used to check form submissions

These providers act on our instructions. If you would like the current list of named providers, ask us and we will tell you.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as they are useful for responding to you, delivering what you asked for and keeping a record of work discussed or carried out. Anti-spam rate-limit records are short-lived. If you would like your enquiry deleted, ask us and we will do it.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it. Just get in touch and we will deal with it. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
